I have to admit that I stole the idea for the first two pics from somebody else (I honestly can't remember where I saw this, or I'd link their site). The other posed shots of the whole family together were my ideas.

The Six Kirschner Kids. I think the coolest thing about them is three are adopted, but you'd never know who because they all fit in perfectly!

Seriously, the fact that Grandma and all of her granddaughters dressed in pink, and Pop-Pop and all of his grandsons dressed in navy blue was totally not planned at all.

This family vacation was an anniversary celebration for Don and Agnes (about 9 months after the fact), so I tried to make a lot of the shots all about them.

This is my favorite of the two of them...

These three were the easiest to capture because cousin C. was totally smiling the entire time.

Uncle Frank!

The Prentice Family...thanks, cousin Ja. for being such a good sport for these next few minutes!

I love these two shots of Jeff and Janet!

The Scotti Family...cousin Jo. made it through with the help of his car.

Joe and Carolyn, the most newly wedded in the family.

This was Gwyneth's first time out on the beach!

This photo shoot makes me want to be a part of your family! Just beautiful!
What a wonderful Idea I will have to pass it on. Wow I never thought of the family picture broken up in smaller families. GREAT JOB. I love all your photos Nate Very talented!!!
These are beautiful pictures! Very very well done. Great job!!!!!!!!
I especially love the one of Tricia's parents kissing and everyone watching. Very cute!
So nice!
I took portraits for the first time a few weeks... of a pregnant friend. I am pleased with how they turned out. :)
Again, these are awesome!
These pictures are such treasures! Love the poses!
Wow! Wonderful pics....you are an artist. Will you be doing this professionally? Would love to hire you to shoot our family!
You know, I checked this post out a few hours after you put it up and I've been back three or four times. I really love the big family shot, third to last, and the set up of each family as part of the whole bigger family, but not separate. Composing a shot for such a large group is tough because it can so easily get boring, but this shot really speaks to me. Excellent work, as usual, love the post.
Great job!!! I love portraits on the beach....just wish I lived closer to one.
You have such an eye for photography! Those are great photos. I love large families! I have 4 children from 8 to 16 and these photos make me think about how one day Gary and i will be the parents and maybe we will have our own beach photos of their families too. These are great, your family is blessed by God.

Awesome pictures. I wish you lived near me. We are trying to find someone to do family pictures for us and it is hard to find someone that has as much talent as you.
Could you tell us what lenses you use with your Rebel? Do you use an extra flash? I am thinking of buying one and wondered what you would recommend getting with it. Thanks.
You have inspired me to get into photography!!!
Nate, sorry I couldn't find your email, or I would have contacted you that way. Do you take any pictures for hire? I would love for you to do my daughter's senior portraits. We met briefly once at my church, Cleveland Community Church. I don't expect you to remember, I just didn't want you to think I was a stalker. If you are interested, we could go to the OBX, as we love it there, or if you and Trish have to go back to Durham any time soon, we could meet you there. The Duke gardens would be an excellent place for senior portraits. Just leave a comment on my sorry excuse for a blog if you are interested. If you aren't interested, that's fine. No hard feelings. We pray for you continually. Thanks and God Bless!
I love the photos where everyone is looking at Don and Agnes. What a celebration! I also love the sibling shot. You are an amazing photographer ! And of course, I love the ones of Gwenyth's first trip to the beach!! Nice job!!
Beautiful portraits Nate! Love them!
Wonderful Wonderful Pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Great portraits... if you are interested in something not as 'professional' as yours but just some fun photos... you can go to http://snappyadventures.blogspot.com these are my photos I have taken (well some) I am basically just starting to learn and don't really know the tricks with light etc
You did an amazing job...I love the ones with the little clusters of the individual families.
WOW~ Amazing!
Hey Nathan!! Great photography!! I think you have a God-given gift!!
Hi Nate,
I follow your other website daily. You are an amazing family. I love taking pictures/editing and am in awe with yours. I wanted to ask some questions as something is stumping me. A lot of your pictures seemed turned. I tried to play with mine and can't capture what you are doing. I can custom turn them, but was trying to figure that out, as my frames weren't turning. I'm assuming the angles are post picture?
Just curious
Beatiful beautiful.
PRICELESS.......What a BEAUTIFUL family. LOVE the pictures of Tricia's parents.
Can you come and take our pictures too???? :)
Em
Amazing photos Nate!
I agree, that you really do have a gift.
I do have one question. With all the photos that you are apart of, did you just set the self-timer or did you enlist some help? Just curious. Again, great work!!
Very cool photos! I love the ones with each family spaced out on the beach!
Nate, what a gift you have....I've visited your site daily for months now and continue to feel your love & passion for your family through everything you do with words & pictures!! Never let life stop being fun....If you'd be interested in photographing my cousins' wedding in Va. Beach on Aug. 9th aboard The Virginia Jewel ship, please let me know as we would love to have you!
Nate, these are awesome! You have really inspired me to take a closer look at my photography....and to spend more time with it. Thanks for all of the awesome pictures, they really are wonderful!!!
You captured some really great shots
You are one talented Photographer..

Stacy
You do WONDERS behind the camera. What a fun and beautiful family. these pictures truly capture your love for each other.
Nate, those are TOTALLY AWESOME pictures!
My daughter in law sent me the link to your pictures. You have captured the family in a great way. We had our family picture taken in 'families' in HH park. It was good to 'catch up' on the Kirschner family and see how it has grown. Haven't seen Don & Agnes since they left HH! Blessings on all of you.
Joy
Beautiful family beach pictures.
I love them all, will you please come to ohio and take pictures of our baby when he is born this fall? I can't find anyone that takes pictures like yours! Best wishes!
Jeannie
Amazing shots -- every single one of them. I just love beach shots!
I love your pictures. I may come back often for ideas!
Amazing photographs Nate! As you have noticed, I have taken the liberty of posting a link to your site and Tricia's site on my own blog. Your continuing testimony is such an encouragement to me. Keep trusting in our Lord. He is the only one that can sustain and uphold us in tough times. I'll be praying for you, keep up the good work! -Liz
