There were only about half as many people in this session as my last family shoot, so I was able to play around a little more with group shots.

My daughter got some time in with the grandparents...

It's a minor miracle that my dad behaved himself for most of the shoot...he usually looks this most of the time you point a camera at him...

This is my youngest sister, Rachel, and her husband of just over 1 year, Ramon.

This is my oldest sister, Sarah, and her husband, Terry. They celebrated their first anniversary a few days after this shoot.

My wife, Tricia, and I.

And, our beautiful daughter, Gwyneth Rose.

It looks like y'all had lots of fun with the shoot! The pictures are great. Wish you lived in MD I'd have you do some of my family! I especially love the ones with grandma and grandpa with Gwyneth... and the one that Gwyneth is looking at you, Nate, is priceless! Great job!
Nate, what can I say.... you captured the love in a family once again. They are all wonderful. My very favorite one is where God placed the sun..... exactly where it needed to be to show His awesome wonder and how He is EVERYWHERE all the time. Your kissing Trish's forhead and God's love and compassion is showing with the touch of your kiss. :) AWESOME>>>>>>
Gwenyth is growing up so fast. She's beautiful.
Great Photos! What do you use to edit them? I recently found Adobe lightroom and love it!
I like to "think" I'm a "photographer" but really it's only a game I like to play :) It seems to help me deal with life!
How do you get the water seal on your photos?
You did a fantastic job. Your pictures are beautiful!
These are awesome! I love the groupings and the poses! I am so inspired by your photography! I've started taking about 20-50 pictures a day, playing with perspective and trying to think outside the box a little. Most of my shots are ok with a few really great ones thrown in there when I least expect it. It's fun to have somewhere to post them too (like a blog!) Praying for your family! Thanks again for sharing!
Wow, those are fabulous! As someone thinking of moving ahead with her photography skills... I'm learning lots about composition from your blog :D
Gorgeous, inspiring shots!! Love the sun kiss picture! ;-)
Thanks for sharing. You all look wonderful!
Marissa :-)
Great pics....love the photos of both families. I wish you were in the Topsail Island area... we want to do some family pics in October while on vacation for Christmas cards etc. Oh well, maybe we will make a trip to the OBX and see you there!!

You certainly do take great pics. Is it just me or does Tricia look more like your family than you do?! ;)
Nate - hey, I've been reading both of your blogs for a while and just wanted to let you know I really appreciate you sharing your story & your pictures! Anyway, I have a couple of questions - what photo editing software do you use? Do you add your copyright logo in batch or individually? I'm going through photos I did for a wedding recently and I want to add the logo to all the pictures so that when I give them a DVD it has the logo on there... do you have any ideas for doing this in batch?? I have Paint Shop Pro X2 and Photoshop Elements.
I love both of your blogs and also wonder (simply out of personal curiosity) which editing program you use. The pictures are terrific (as always) and really capture the moments! Looks like a FUN family!
I think they are ALL WONDERFUL and the shadows add character- such a wonderful job and with the SELF TIMER!! Great stuff!
Wow Nate! They are some beautiful pictures - you could be a professional photographer I reckon :-)
The pics of family members walking leaving their footprints visible in the sand seems so poignant and reminds me of the beautiful "Footprints in the Sand" poem.
I just wanted to say that the shot of you kissing Tric with the sun right on the "kiss" is incredible! :)
Nathan these are great photos-they are so full of LOVE!
Absolutely wonderful shots! They are all amazing.
Hi! My best friend ( and best photography subject, lol) saw one of your beach pictures and sent me the link. Your blog is Awesome!! I love taking pictures, it's such a fun way to be creative and make a memory. I was wondering about the shot with the parents in the foreground, and the couples in the background. How did you get them to be completely focused? My camera is automatic, although it may have a manual setting. I'm not sure how I'd do that. Any idea?
If you could email, that would be awesome! Thanks so much, and God Bless!! Char Jackson

The one of your parents in the front and the three couples (dancing?) in the background by the sea is my absolute favorite. You don't quite notice them at first and then they pop out at you and you realize they're meant to be there. Does the family have fun posing for your pictures? It looks like it!
